PARKING
There are no parking meters on the island so street and side street parking is free. There are several municipal parking lots that require permits during the season. Parking permits for municipal parking lots can be purchased for $25.00 for the Seasonal permit or $8.00 for daily permits. Municipal Offices at City Hall (609) 266-7600 1417 W. Brigantine Ave.

BEACH TAGS
Beach tags are required for everyone ages 12 and older. Tags can be purchased through the Viply APP  or at the Beach Fee Office, located at 265 42nd Street.

Seasonal: $15.00 through the month of May/$ 20.00 starting June 1st
Weekly:$15.00
Daily: $10.00
Seniors (60-64): $8.00 ONLY DURING THE MONTH OF MAY/ $20.00 after May 31st
Senior over 65: Come in with identification for a free tag.
Active Military Members: tags are free (4 free per family).
Veterans: beach tags are free only for that veteran.


BEACH INFORMATION

Swimming is permitted at the following beaches from June 15th to Labor Day during the hours of 10:00 am – 5:30 pm, while the lifeguards are on duty.

Permitted on 34th Street South to 38th Street South.

Handicapped-Accessible Beaches

The 16th Street South beach is equipped with a beach mat, Mobi-Mat, which runs to the water’s high tide line to enable access for wheelchairs, disabled, elderly… Specific questions contact Beach Patrol Hdq. @ 609.266.5233.

Dogs
Dogs on allowed on the beach From October 1st to May 29th, provided they are on a 6ft leash. Dogs are allowed on the North-End Beach any time – same rules apply.

Jet Skis/Waverunners/Catamarans
MUST have proof of $500,000 liability insurance, without insurance no permit! The permit is to be able to launch jet ski from the cove area. The Cost for the permit is $ 125.00. Catamarans must also have proof of $500,000 liability insurance.

4-Wheel Drive Permits
Brigantine allows 4-wheel drive vehicles with permits to drive on posted beaches. Permits may be obtained at 265 42nd Street. For more information please call 609-264-7350.
4X4 Permits 4 Wheel drive permit: $175 through Feb 28th; then $200.00
Vehicle owners 60 & over: $80.00 through Feb 28th; then $85.00
Permanently Disabled Persons: $80.00 through Feb 28th; then $85.00

Replace Lost Permit: $30.00 Drive On Beach
